I have a different father and mother for Molsey Kennedy, wife of Henry Hodges. My information states that her father was, Joseph Kennedy and mother was Sally Wallace, daughter of James and they were from Duplin Co., North Carolina.
Joseph Kennedy was married twice, first to Sally Wallace and the to Sylvin Sandlin. Joseph and Sylvin appear in Barbour Co., Ala. in the 1850 census and then in Dale Co., Ala. in the 1860 census. They are buried in the Kennedy Family Cemetery in Midland City, Dale Co., Ala.
I haven't found any documentation where Molsey Kennedy Hodges was the daughter of John A. Kennedy.
