I would like to know if anyone knows who is buried around Abner and Sarah Brock Hodge. They are buried in Hodges Cemetery, in VanBuren, Tennessee.

Submitted by Brian Hodges on Fri, 12/30/2011 - 21:29Myra Hazel Hodges, 90, of Cottonwood, AL, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Robert Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in Hodgesville Baptist Church Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Born in Houston County Alabama, Myra was a daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Mary Anna Faulk Hodges. She was a graduate of the University of Missouri, St. Lois with a BS degree in business. She owned and operated the Hodges Clothing Stores in Bainbridge, GA and Panama City, FL. She was a member of Hodgesville Baptist Church.
Myra was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Elon Nell Hodges (1934-2011)
Submitted by Brian Hodges on Fri, 10/07/2011 - 09:39Elon Nell Hodges, a resident of Headland, died late Wednesday afternoon, October 5, 2011, at her home. She was 77.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Friday, October 7, 2011, in the Pleasant Plains Baptist Cemetery, between Headland and Columbia, with Reverend Troy West officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.
Miss Hodges was a native of the Pleasant Plains community, daughter of the late John Ashley Hodges and Betty Mathis Hodges. She lived most of her lifetime in Headland where she was a member of the Headland United Methodist Church. Miss Hodges was also affiliated with Northside Assembly of God Church in Dothan. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Ward and a brother, Tommy Clemmons.

Carl Avery Hodges (1940-2011)

Carl Avery Hodges of Malvern, Arkansas, died July 30, 2011, with his family by his side.
Carl was born on January 27, 1940, in San Pedro, California to Brantley (Jack) and Blanche Tisdale Hodges. The family moved to Midway, Arkansas in 1951.
He graduated from Ouachita High School in 1957 and married his life long love, Patricia Spurlin on December 12, 1958. He was a member of the Arkansas National Guard that was activated in 1957-1958 to serve at Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. After owning and operating a local Esso station, he worked for 35 years at General Cable, formerly Reynolds Cable, until his retirement in 2003.
